ART DIRECTION + BRAND IDENTITY
I led the art direction and design for the full Hot Wheels Monster Trucks rebrand, establishing a refreshed visual identity that merged real, live-action trucks with bold illustrative accents to bring the iconic Hot Wheels energy to life. I developed the new logo from the ground up, creating a mark that became the foundation for the entire brand ecosystem. This rebrand extended across newly designed trucks, key illustrations, and a comprehensive suite of media assets, influencing everything from consumer products and packaging to live show environments and promotional materials. The result was a unified, high-impact identity that elevated the franchise and expanded its visual storytelling potential.
With the updated brand direction influencing multiple Hot Wheels segments, a completely new logo was developed that positioned the iconic Hot Wheels flame as the primary focal point rather than a secondary element. Tire-tread detailing was integrated into the flame to reference the signature Monster Trucks tire while maintaining the rugged, high-energy personality of the franchise. The result is a mark that feels both unmistakably Hot Wheels and distinctly Monster Trucks.
